AT&T to Sell iPhone for $199?
A blog at Fortune has reported that AT&T will sell the new 3G iPhone for $199.
When it comes out, the new 3G phone will be capable of using AT&T’s 3G network, which is much faster than their current Edge Network. But before you rush out and buy one, you might want to be sure that 3G is available in your area.
I’m not sure why Apple would allow AT&T to sell the iPhone for $199 because a price that low just devalues the brand. The iPhone is a premium product, and Apple products in general get a high quality perception from consumers. I don’t know why Apple would want to mess with that formula, but we’ll see—maybe dramatically lower prices are just around the corner.
Perhaps your new iPhone will come much cheaper than you think. Time will tell.
