Are You Getting the Most out of Gmail?
Gmail sometimes gets a bad rap as not being as full featured as Yahoo! Mail or other web based mail products. Personally, I think it’s got plenty of features. If you don’t believe me, then check out this post at CollegeDegrees.com. It’s called:
57 Habits of Highly Effective Gmail Users
I read through this list and I am probably using half of the suggestions printed here, but there are plenty of new ideas here too.
For example, did you know that Gmail has a “mute” button? Well, neither did I.
Did you figure out that Gmail can be used as a hard drive? Many people use Gmail to store documents, but I have always done this the “hard way,” by composing an email to myself and then attaching the files I want to store. If you want an easier way, then check out tips #36 and #39 which tell you how you can drag and drop files into Gmail. Waaaay cool!
Anyway, CollegeDegrees put up an excellent post. It would be almost impossible to read it without coming up with a couple of tips that YOU can use. Just remember, if you are using Gmail on your iPhone, then an increase in your Gmail efficiency will translate to more efficiency in your mobile life as well.
